The well being sector is one of the biggest markets for small businesses, from yoga to mindfulness, skin products to exercise and diet businesses to health, there is a huge need for your products and services right now.
But to stand out in a saturated market is a tough thing and I bet you're struggling right now to be seen, am I right?
Well, if this is the case, did you know that blogging/vlogging can help to grow your business and help you stand out among your competitors?
It's true because I have also been in a saturated market and I am currently leading the way in the entertainment industry through my blog.
I have been blogging for my party business for 7 years now and it has helped to grow my business and place me as the go to person in my area.
You can do this too and by blogging for your business, it can help you in numerous ways:
Have a ton of knowledge in your head just bursting to get out? Sharing your knowledge in your blog is going to help place you as an expert in your field, the 'go to' person for all things in your industry.
Not sure who your target market is? Blogging will help you to talk to those who need your products and services, and help you to really niche down who your ideal client is so that the orders come flooding in within time.
Run out of content ideas for social media posts? Blogging will provide hundreds of ideas for you to re-use and re-purpose and spread out all over your Facebook and Instagram pages so you'll never run out of content again.
I bet you your competitors are not blogging which paves the way for you!
You are going to stand out in a saturated market by showing the world that you know your stuff and you can help people.
This is how you can do it:
Once you have your twelve topics for your blog, you can think about how to structure the blog.
All you need is an introduction, three paragraphs with the main points and a conclusion with a call to action at the end.
Bear in mind that the reader doesn't have time to sit and read your blog, as harsh as that sounds, so you want to make it easily readable (no long paragraphs) and not too long.
You can break the blog into bullet points, numbered checklist etc so they can skim read and they can pick up on the points that will help them.
Don't forget to market your blog.
I can't promise that people will comment and share your blog because in 7 years, no one has done this to mine!
That isn't the main goal for this though.
What you want is people to read your blog and to tell you how it has helped them which has happened to me.
Just when you think no one is reading this amazing blog that you have put out there, someone will message you to tell you it's been helpful to them so don't stop just because no one is reacting in an obvious way.
By marketing your blog on social media, in your newsletter, on your email signature, in your Instagram stories etc, you are going to stand out massively!
Do some research on other blogs in your industry and see what's popular.
There is no harm in taking a blog post that's already out there and doing your version of it, (no copying here, mind!).
You can also get some inspiration for blog titles to work from on Pinterest! (Just watch that rabbit hole, it pops up when you least expect it!).
Once you get into the flow of blogging, you will see how it can help grow your well-being business.
Consistency will get you noticed but you can't give up half way through the year otherwise it will be a waste of time.
So by planning out your twelve topics, not only will you have something to talk about each month, you will start to establish yourself as a trustworthy and reliable business.
When your readers are ready to buy from you they will remember you instead of wondering who to turn to.
Others will start recommending you, you'll get a name for yourself and ultimately the sales will come in.
Your business can grow in ways you never thought possible because you took the brave steps to start blogging when your competitors just sat back and hoped it would come to them.
It won't happen overnight but with patience, determination and some effort on your part it will happen for you!
